Latest: Kentmere Hydro Trust Disbanded It is with great regret that on behalf of Kentmere Hydro Trust, I have to announce that despite the best efforts of the Trustees, for various reasons beyond their control, the proposed scheme on the west bank of the River Kent can no longer go ahead. Reluctantly, as a result, the decision has now been taken to wind up the Trust. On a more positive note, the group who were involved are still looking at alternative schemes for renewable energy for the benefit of the community. I should wish to record a tremendous vote of thanks to all of those Trustees and others who gave so much time and expertise to the project. Iain Johnston
