After the 1894 Local Government Act, Kentmere Parish Meeting came into being, along with a handsome leather-bound Minute Book. That Minute Book was used from December 1894 until May 2011 when it became full.This original 1894 Minute Book was the only one we know of that was still in use in 2011.
The Minute Book was presented to the Kendal Records Office at the assembly of the Parish Meeting on Thursday 1st November 2012.

KRO kindly organised to have the book photographed so that we have a copy of the proceedings.
Thanks are due to several residents who have helped to transcribe the minutes to make them searchable and more readable. The transcriptions are now complete.
